MPT never stops. And neither does Giovanni.

When Giovanni Donati joined MPT in 2016, he started out in the yard, learning the flow of goods by experience.
Today, he works in the warehouse office, where he manages incoming and outgoing materials for the moulding department.

His job isn’t just about shipping documents and deliveries. Because without the right logistical coordination, the entire supply chain slows down.

Instead, everything has to move as one: production, logistics and administration connected in a continuous, seamless flow.
Giovanni helps make that happen, together with a team of eight people and the support of digital tools like:

– an in-house ERP system connecting warehouse, production and purchasing;
– a smart factory network for fast, synchronised flows;
– handheld devices integrated with pallet trucks, to keep everything under control even on the move.

Technology plays its part. But it’s people who make it work, just as Giovanni tells:

“Goods don’t move on their own. Every step might look automatic, but behind it there’s a set of decisions that get each batch to the right place, at the right time: by doing so, production can keep running without interruptions.”
