Responsabile Magazzino Stampaggio

By the numbers. But only the right ones. From zero… to the micron!

When Lauro Caruso joined MPT in 1999, he wasn’t yet a metrology technician. He started out in the technical office, handling archiving, communications, and document management. Then in 2004, a new opportunity came along: joining the quality control department where stamped parts are measured to verify their precision and compliance with specifications. Lauro said yes. He started from scratch and began learning — one detail at a time — through dedicated training and a strong will to grow.

Today he’s the one who can see clearly even where the eye cannot.

A part fresh out of the mold is never identical to its 3D file: materials shrink, expand, warp. That’s exactly where Lauro’s work begins, comparing what was designed to what actually exists, using the DEA coordinate measuring machine with expert precision to detect every deviation.

To ensure every production batch matches the first — same shape, same strength, same reliability — the quality control department at MPT works in constant dialogue:

🧑🏻‍💻 with the technical office, which adjusts designs based on his feedback;

🛠️ with the workshop, which fine-tunes molds and tools;

⚙️ with the production team, which calibrates cooling times, test parameters, and machine settings.

“Quality control doesn’t happen at the end of the line. It’s a continuous, ongoing process: one that prevents mistakes instead of chasing after fixes.”

A way to shorten, every day, the distance between design and reality.
